Calling all show ponies, selfie-addicts and spotlight queens! Two planets sail into theatrical Leo this week, setting the stage for some highly entertaining exhibitionism. Although the Sun is still simmering in low-key Cancer (bringing some helpful temperance), glamorous Venus and expressive Mercury are moving on to the lion’s den—Venus from Tuesday until August 5 and Mercury from Wednesday until July 30. Too shy to set the world on fire? Start with more sizzle and spark. Small risks—like wearing a flashy accessory or saying hi to an attractive stranger—can bring adrenaline-spiking confidence boosts. Leo energy can be over the top, sure, but it can also imbue us with a regal air. What do you want to be king or queen of? Start mulling it over because in a week, on Tuesday, July 22, the coronation ceremonies will REALLY begin when the Sun joins this starry duo in Leo.

Creatively, Venus in Leo can bring divine downloads. Make room for the muse in that summer schedule! With mental Mercury sharing the throne, you could bang out half a screenplay or record an EP before July is through. If you’re not a maker, be an arts appreciator. The festival circuit couldn’t be livelier than under this enchanted Venus spell—and social Mercury could help gallery-hoppers and culture vultures commune and form stimulating social connections.

Leo is also one of the zodiac’s most romantic signs—and ardent Venus just purrs here. Scatter the rose petals and Rumi poems, and let yourself get swept up in a little shameless PDA. Flirty Mercury can be shameless in Leo. But are those grandiose declarations of love legit…or more about the show? Reserve judgment until early August, enjoying the passion of the moment with a healthy dose of realism. Saturday’s vibes could be tense—or a full-on moody meltdown. The ego-driven Sun in sensitive Cancer battles it out with impulsive Uranus in hotheaded Aries. Some true divas could rise up, demanding everything custom ordered to taste. But the “giver” types will be in no mood to mother or accommodate these babyish demands. The Sun’s position in Cancer could bring some ugly guilt trips, too, and the indie-spirits out there will rebel against people who try to control them with crocodile tears or emotional power plays. Hey, maybe it’s time we all reshuffled our boundaries and stopped playing games. But tempers could flare so be careful with these clashes, or bridges might be burned—with close friends and family even—by trying to discuss matters in the heat of the moment.
