Your Weekly Overview June 27th – July 3rd:

Lust interrupted; lust restored. This Wednesday, June 29 that fire returns to our bellies—and a little further south—as passionate Mars pivots out of retrograde. The red planet has been in reverse gear since April 17—first backing up through fiery, adventurous Sagittarius and then retreating into watery, intense Scorpio since May 27. Our mojos, momentum and Magellan-like ways may have cooled over the last ten weeks. (Spring fever, wherefore were thou?)

With Mars off kilter, we may have rushed ahead on ambitious plans only to hit frustrating blocks and discover aggravating adjustments that needed to happen before any real progress could go down. Anger—warrior planet Mars’ touchstone emotion—may have consumed some during the retrograde while others may have tamped it down, only to have it come out sideways through energy slumps or body aches. Well, enough of that! Book the massage and heart-to-heart after hump day as Mars makes a proactive U-turn and powers forward through sultry Scorpio until August 2.

Make like a phoenix rising from the ashes over the next five weeks. If Mars retrograde burned bridges or tore a path of destruction through an area of your life, you can still rise strong. In the sign of alchemical Scorpio, Mars can make miracles come to life. But what’s required is NOT manipulative charm and snake oil (the shadow side of Scorp) but rather vulnerable honesty, transparency and a dedicated effort to rebuild trust. And now for the more nefarious news: The next five weeks will be rather, uh, sex positive. And while pulse-quickening Mars can heat up attractions fast, Scorpio insists that they also be soul-deep.

Also on Wednesday, messenger Mercury switches signs, flowing into cozy, private Cancer until July 13. It’s time for us all to hop on the best friends and family plan—and to be a little stricter about what we share on social media or even in whispered exchanges. When it comes to REALLY baring our souls, it’s trusted confidantes only! Old friends and family could become more actively engaged in our lives. Cancer is the zodiac’s homemaker, calling forth our domestic streaks.

Put a leaf in the table and try your hand at a margarita or mocktail recipe. Social Mercury is bound to bring some legendary dinner party action while touring the Crab’s domain. Start those decor boards on Pinterest and learn a few Feng Shui techniques. Form follows function! Remember that before plunking down a G on a sofa that looks stylish but feels stiff when you recline.

The weekend vibe is “rainbows and unicorns,” especially on Sunday, July 3 when the Cancer Sun trance dances with spiritual Neptune in Pisces. No flower crown filter needed. Under these dreamy, flowy skies all the world is a festival.

Compassionate Neptune is retrograde, giving us a do-over—especially if we laid down harsh critiques or spouted off tough love with someone who maybe just needed a hug. Swaddle up in that support circle and spend the day at the beach (Neptune’s domain). Pack a gourmet picnic, too. With the food-obsessed Cancer Sun in the frame, this could turn into a Bacchanalian feast on a blanket!
