Your Weekly Horoscope by The Astro Twins
Your Weekly Overview December 30th – January 5th, 2020
Are your New Year’s Eve plans dialed in? Better pull up that ticket receipt to check or call the restaurant and make sure your table for six is still reserved! This Monday, December 30, Mercury connects the dots to chaotic Uranus, and while they’re flowing together in a harmonious trine, it’s just good policy to make sure nothing unexpected has cropped up. With that in mind, YOU may be the wrench-thrower in your own carefully laid plans. Spontaneity and variety are favorite spices of both Mercury and Uranus. Maybe you committed to a ho-hum house party months ago, but now you’re getting insanely jealous hearing other friends talk about the Airbnb they rented in Joshua Tree or the hotel suite with 360-degree skyline views (that’s being catered by a former Top Chef contestant). The FOMO could give way to a YOLO decision to upgrade your festivities! Try to avoid fallout with the people you’re canceling on. If they’re real friends, they’ll understand (fingers crossed) but make sure you explain your choice with an actual conversation, not an emoji-filled text. If they were counting on you for a ride share or group ticket, and it’s too late for you to get a refund, Venmo them before you take off for your Plan B.
Wherever your feet wind up planted on New Year’s Eve, make sure they’re tucked into a pair of dancing shoes. As the moon and Neptune both Nae Nae through esoteric Pisces, there will be A LOT of energy to move—and leave behind—as you shake off any baggage of the past decade. Pisces is the twelfth and final sign of the zodiac, and the moon’s station here is more than just a symbolic release. It’s also an attunement of sorts, helping you to integrate all that you’ve learned since way back in 2010 (and maybe way back before that year, too). As the zodiac’s escape artist, Piscean energy can be elusive, boundless, esoteric… Which is amazing for getting lost in a trancelike DJ set or even a sound bath and gong meditation. It’s not-so-amazing for losing count of how many champagne flutes (or whatever) you’ve tipped back. Keep your water glass full (Neptune will approve) and supportive friends close by. There may be a pull toward quietude, even solitude, for some. Just try not to isolate yourself, because you’ll miss the magic of human connection.
The moon lingers in Pisces on January 1, opening up a powerful portal to the new decade as it checks in with grounding Saturn, metamorphic Pluto and Mars in spiritual Scorpio. This meditative day is perfect for reflecting on your dreams for the year ahead, along with the many ways you want to support planetary healing. Before you start tapping out resolutions in your Notes app, try making a good, old-fashioned vision board. Pictures you’re drawn to will reveal the desires that are locked in your subconscious, and you’ll access even deeper recesses if you create your board by hand instead of on your phone or computer. Log off and tune in.
On Friday, fierce Mars is on the move, exiting Scorpio’s intense cauldron and zipping into passionate, adventurous, worldly Sagittarius until February 16. After two months of ultra-close encounters, you no longer have to apologize if you want to break wild and free. First question: Where on Google’s green earth will you drop your next pin? With the impulsive red planet pulsing in the sign of the global traveler, you could be double tapping “Reserve My Flight” before you’ve had a chance to think through every logistical detail. (Maybe confirm that you can get those days off before you book that non-refundable seat?) Since lusty Mars is one of the love planets, your spontaneous sojourn might even involve a sequel session with your under-the-confetti NYE bae. Entrepreneurs will feel a surge of motivation over the coming seven weeks and developments could happen at a rapid clip. Careful not to blow through all that seed money on “start-up costs.” With Mars playing Powerball in capricious Sagittarius, we won’t always know the difference between a calculated risk and a straight-up gamble. While there may be some high-pressure moments where we have to carpe the diem between now and February 16, it’s never wise to leap blindfolded. For best results, handle the due diligence, crunch the numbers and run the background checks.
