No more delays! The spring awakening begins this Tuesday, April 24 as ardent Venus flits into Gemini and evokes a worldwide case of the butterflies until May 19. This planetary pandemic is sure to bring some sultry exchanges, but no coasting on good looks alone. Sapiosexuals will rule the game while Venus hovers in this intellectually stimulating sign. Bring your best conversational skills to the mix—and if you don’t have anything to talk about, let that be your cue to culturally edify yourself. Read evocative articles and page-turning books—and no, we’re not talking about news headlines and celebrity gossip. Check out museum exhibits and galleries featuring up-and-coming artists. Meet friends for live music, open-mics and lecture series. There won’t be any need to practice any clever opening lines after that. (Although, personally, we do enjoy a good, “What’s your sign?” as a lead-magnet…) Pillow-talk could be plenty spicy with this articulate energy afoot, but the fun will happen in equal measure OUTSIDE of the bedroom. Couples should fill their shared calendar with activity dates, road trips, and evenings on the town with mutual friends. Venus in Gemini helps with communication—and that means listening, too, not just delivering long monologues. Practice mirroring back what your partner said instead of rushing to respond. When people feel heard, they feel loved.

Thursday comes with a Code Orange intensity alert as aggressive Mars and furtive Pluto meet up at the same degree of Capricorn. There’s nothing light and fluffy about this tete-a-tete (or top secret, back room meeting). With both planets in goal-driven, power-hungry Capricorn, we could see people throwing their weight around—and things could get ugly. Capricorn is the sign of authority; it rules governments and banks and is also associated with father figures. We can only imagine what the world news will bring this week—and here’s hoping it doesn’t get any nastier, because neither Mars nor Pluto are above a low blow. But on a positive note, we could see some truly heroic shows of strength emerging. Mars is also associated with the masculine force, so his merger with alchemical Pluto in Capricorn (the masculine sign) could continue to transform the archaic gender roles that trap both women AND men in ancient, outmoded boxes.

Sunday’s full moon in Scorpio charges the air with soulful seduction. Intense attractions that have been bubbling in the background could explode into a passionate, bodice-ripping good time. Privacy please! What happens in Scorpioville stays in Scorpioville and there may be a hush-hush or even clandestine quality to Friday’s events. The urge to merge heats up, both for pleasure AND business. In the two weeks that follow, events in the boardroom could be as intriguing as those in the bedroom. And since Scorpio rules big money (think: investments, inheritances, loans and tax returns) we could make—or break—some bank under these moonbeams. With the right collaborators, pure bliss or profitability is written in the stars. Lawyer up and make these lasting partnerships “officially official.”
