When one door closes, it's always up to you to open another (here's what I did)!

I went to go on Facebook last night, and I got a strange message that said you can’t use Facebook right now. We think someone else might be trying to access your account. Please send us a picture of yourself with no one else in the image, blah blah blah, for review.

It’s been a day, and I’m still locked out. I’m still under review.

Do you know what I began to think today? Omg, all my friends. Omg, my F.B. family. My women who count on me. And who I count on. My private forums. My business. My business contacts. What about the F.B. ads I’m running.

Omg, I’ve created an entire life around Facebook and if I have no Facebook what will I do?

What if this door stays closed?

What if this platform goes away forever?

What would I do? What will I do?

Hmmmm…

Well, for one thing, I’d have a lot more time for other things such as return my lo-o-o-n-g list of emails, work on my marketing plan, get creative again with new ideas to reach new people in new ways.

For goodness sakes, I am the #1 ranked Empowerment Coach and Coaching School on Google worldwide. Maybe I’ll give my business to Google. Facebook ads have never really worked anyway, and yes, I’ve spent over $115,000 on F.B. ads and not a penny on Google ads.

Ding, ding, ding.

Besides, I could always put a little more effort into building my twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube accounts. I’ve sucked at developing those audiences because I’m so busy being busy on Facebook.

Maybe I’d even start writing again for my own amazing magazine that I never seem to have any time for and yet, I feature other writers every week at www.SimplyWoman.com. Plus, I could start writing for other magazines. I am a six-time bestselling author with major international publishing houses and have been featured on Oprah.com three times.

And hey, how about pursue a tv show again? And what about making my speaking gigs a priority? Promoting my podcast, Chat with Crystal: Empowered Coaching conversations with real women from around the world? And get my butt back out to networking events and conferences.

Perhaps, I’d laser in on my publishing house, www.SimplyWomanPublishing.com, and I’d focus on finding the best female writers this year who have incredible stories so I could publish some N.Y. Times bestsellers! #BAM

And hey, what about SWAY (Simply Woman Accredited Yoga)? The most incredible idea I’ve ever had that I’ve already invested close to $70,000 developing the most tech-savvy plan to help yoginis and want-to-be yoginis connect online worldwide in the most incredible way that has never been done before, and to make money themselves while building an international following.

Yes, it’s TIME to get ‘er done, Crystal!

It’s time!

Or geez, maybe I’d just take a little break, get off this computer and go to the gym or do a yoga class. Perhaps, I’d even consider joining a sports team for the camaraderie and connection. Imagine REAL LIFE CONNECTIONS!?!

And, if all else fails, I could go outside and help my husband with some spring yard clean up, or indeed something that would make me feel so good: a major indoor spring cleaning. These windows really could use some soapy water and a squeegee. LOL

You know, when one door closes, it’s up to us to open another one.

There are so many closed doors . . . and that’s an exciting thing! You get to decide which ones you’ll open!
