My Life Lessons from 2016
By Crystal Andrus Morissette
Just like life, success is a marathon, not a sprint. You can’t fast track everything. Some things take time no matter how hard you work at them. Don’t give up because it isn’t happening as quickly as you’d like but don’t believe that you have all the time in the world, either. The current keeps moving. Flow with it. Go with it. Trust in it.
When you feel exhausted, unsure, or afraid that your journey is too hard, too long, or too treacherous, take a break and do something fun, lighthearted and reenergizing. Remind yourself that life is not designed to make you feel desperate or unsure (it’s meant to be fun!) so when you fall into those scared states of mind, take a break. Walk away. Don’t try to do business in this state of mind. You have to be in the ‘game’ in order play! Lighten up. Get back in the flow.
Success is an emotional mindset, not a physical place. Fun is the best way to change your state and get back into creative, productive energy. Not to mention, no one wants to work with an angry, fearful, or low-energy person.
It’s all about energy! High energy people make shit happen!
Believe it when you see it. And believe them when they show you who they are.
Love is perfect. People aren’t. Decide who you want to walk your journey with and be patient. We all take pit stops along the way, and it’s not personal if they can’t keep up. On the other hand, don’t drag anyone along with you. Your journey is your own.
Fuck it. Sometimes you just have to say, “Fuck it.” Let go and move on. If it’s meant to be, it will find its way back to you. If it doesn’t, you already received exactly what you needed. Give thanks for that.
It’s happening because ‘it’s time’. You’re ready.
If it’s not happening it’s because you aren’t ready, yet. Do your work.
All will be what it’s meant to be, and everything is unfolding perfectly. Even if you can’t see it.
Every person you meet mirrors you back to you. What you love about me, you love about you. What you hate about me, you can’t see in you. But it’s there. Hidden in your shadows.
Learn to love your shadow. Embrace the darkest, most unacceptable aspects of yourself, and you will find balance, maybe even peace!
Life sucks sometimes. But when its good, it’s SO GOOD. Set the intention that you want a good life.
Nothing lasts forever. When tough times come, know that they will pass.
You are meant for greatness, whether you believe it or not.
What you believe about yourself, changes everything.
Your life matters.
My life matters.
All life matters.
Happy New Year! May 2017 bring us all JOY, PEACE, AND WHOLE LOTTA FUN!
