Using Imbalance to Manifest Positive Change:Trisha Miltimore
The PIVOT POINT
by Trisha Miltimore.
Your PIVOT POINT. The moment when you realize, with bone-deep certainty, that what you’re doing is NOT WORKING. That something needs to change… to be altered, removed, transformed, replaced or revisited. It is a sudden and fleeting moment of emotional clarity. The parting of the clouds, lifting of the fog, only to fly into stormier weather as you travel from the airspace of “A CHANGE IS NEEDED” to “WHAT AM I GOING TO DO NEXT?”.
Expect turbulence. It’s a good thing. It means you are MOVING FORWARD.
In financial terms the pivot point is used as a predictive indicator. If the following day’s market price falls below the pivot point, it may be used as a new RESISTANCE level. Conversely, if the market price rises above the pivot point, it may act as the new SUPPORT level.
Interesting.
Your PIVOT POINT, the energy of whatever imbalance you are realizing, is not an end but rather a means to future gain or loss. In other words, how you CHOOSE to direct your energy, emotions, and expectations will either lift your life experience towards positive change or, quite literally, WEIGH YOUR SPIRIT DOWN.
What to do when you are staring your PIVOT POINT face to face?
First. Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Slightly harsh. And true.
Second. Search for the real reason you feel energy of imbalance.
Here are a few powerful and introspective questions to ask yourself: Why do you seek change? What expectations have not been met? What does your EGO want? What does your HEART yearn for?
These answers are difficult to articulate amongst the CHAOS of our busy lives. Make an investment of TIME and carve out 10-20 minutes each day to get intimate with your thoughts. Deep breathes over a quiet hot cup of coffee (Bailey’s optional). Find your way to re-connect with your thoughts. This will make room for clarity. FOR YOUR INTUITION TO BE HEARD. Remember that if you need to call upon logic to CONVINCE yourself of something it is probably not in alignment with what you actually want.
Third. Redefine and Redirect.
As women we often become emotionally super-glued to our visions, goals, expectations, positions and strategies for success. Our “I’ll show you I can do it!” mentality is a force to be reckoned with…even when we SHOULD be reckoning with it. Think of yourself 5 years ago. What were your hopes, goals, passions, visions and life circumstances? Consider the person you are TODAY. How have you transformed? What in your professional and personal life has changed? What is that you WANT now?
Your PIVOT POINT is begging you to redefine and redirect your energies (passion and purpose) based on what you WANT and are capable of doing in your life as it is today. This requires an open mind, flexibility and the ability to separate from the expectations of yesterday. Adjusting visions, goals, expectations, positions and strategies for success is not a surrender to failure—it’s a declaration of FLOURISHING.
Fourth. OWN it. All of it.
Every good, bad, ugly and amazing thing that has happened in your life. Blame NO PERSON or CIRCUMSTANCE as the reason for your energy of imbalance. You must OWN IT to change it. This takes courage. And a heavy dose of self-compassion. Remember that we can only make decisions based on the information we have at the time. So let hindsight be your wisdom and not your burden.
Your PIVOT POINT is an exercise of emotional inventory, strategic planning and positive expectations. Have FAITH you are deserving of all your greatest desires. Apply this fundamental truth to your personal and professional life.
Take action. Move forward. MANIFEST A RADIATING LIFE EXPERIENCE.
