Personal Boundary Exploration - Simply Woman Magazine
Written by Sheree Keys
Dear Beautiful Soul,
I was in a bit of a boundary pushing mood this week on the social networks. I love to challenge people in a healthy way.
One of my friends even called me the “Queen of Reframe” this week. And honestly, I was under the impression that boundaries were meant to be pushed. No? Hmmm
I believe it can be a good thing when people push your personal boundaries and here is why. I would say that having had my personal boundaries pushed often… that is what helped to carve my edges and define me.
In those moments, I had to decide who I was and what I stood for. Being pushed, tested, and even sometimes not respected allowed me to become a better person. Without the help of those pushing up against me, I would still be undefined.
The next time you feel tested when your personal boundaries are not respected, don’t react. Instead, just decide who you want to be and rise above, move away, delete the email, don’t respond… you get the idea. Thank them and bless them for helping you get clearer on who you are.
With love,
Sheree
