Life Always Finds A Way
I had a client say to me this week, “I kind of feel a little guilty with so many people on lockdown, unable to work, unable to make money. And I’m doing just fine working in my online business as usual. In fact, sales are up.”
I told her, “No-no, you are offering people comfort, solutions, and peace of mind in a very stressful time. This is what you were trained to do.”
You see, this woman is amazing at her practice, but she’s struggled with PTSD and has always been uncomfortable in large groups. A few years back, she hired me to help her build a website–an online coaching business–and to create her branding and online marketing materials. And now, she can’t keep up with the requests for both telephone and live video, face-to-face Zoom coaching, support, anxiety-reducing meditations, and even prayer.
There is no shame in being on your game during a crisis. We’re being called right now to help heal this world. And just because we’re home, isolating, doesn’t mean this should stop. Instead, this is the time to dig in and do what you’ve been called to do. Yes, you might need to think about it in new ways. New delivery options. New platforms. New possibilities.
And of course, I get that some of you have no option but to be out there. God bless you. Nurses, doctors, health care professionals, grocery store and fast-food employees, truck drivers, pharmacists, EMTs, police officers, firefighters, public transportation employees, and so on. Seriously. God bless you.
For the rest of us, this is the time to get creative. Think outside the box. When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
If you need help getting your online business off the ground, my team is here to help. Don’t feel bad. Don’t feel ashamed. Don’t fear. Yes, you’re creating a new normal. We all are.
Those who get ahead of this thing will look back and realize the world has always been shifting, changing, healing, repairing, renewing, and growing, and we have to flow with it.
Just like the four seasons, we often think of winter as cold, barren, and stark instead of realizing it is just the rest period before life begins all over.
Life will always find a way. Always.
