Let Your Energy Attract Your Money
People often ask me how I have so much willpower to work the way I do. My response, “It takes willpower not to work. What I do for a living is not a job that I do begrudgingly. My work is my passion—it lights my fire!”
Some of my family members don’t understand: “I don’t care about your work. I don’t want to hear about it,” my brother has said to me on many occasions. “I want to know how you are doing and what you are up to!”
Well . . . if you ask me what’s new, I’m going to tell you about my new book or about the retreat I’m holding at a gorgeous new location somewhere exciting in the world!
When you do what you love, your work is what’s going on with you; you haven’t compartmentalized yourself into “work life” and “real life.” You are a whole being who is fully expressed in and enriched by the work that you do.
When your work isn’t your bliss, you’ll have to fill your life up with a lot of things.
The great news is that you don’t have to choose between having a job you don’t enjoy but that comes with a good salary and pursuing a dream that excites you but that might not turn a profit. You can have both. You can love what you do and make enough money to pay for what you love. You can even have a wonderful love life, do what you love professionally, and make enough money to pay for it all! Yes, you can have it all.
If you need to make more money, there is always a way. You have to get into creative, expansive energy, though.
Breathe! Trust! Let go of that fearful grip, and then be willing to look and think outside of the box. You have to first accept what is: take an honest reality check. And then focus on solutions rather than on the possibility of your failing.
Ask the right questions; don’t let fear pull you back down. The answers are always there if you will allow yourself to become inspiring, innovative, and imaginative!
In my own career, I’m building a great company because I’m aware of my deepest desires—my purpose—and I’m constantly working on improving my communication skills to lead me to wherever I’m really meant to go. I’m healing the wounds that have kept me playing small and scared, I’m following my heart, and I’m attracting and working with other empowered people.
(Listen up, Lone Wolf: You can’t do it alone any longer!)
You are only as successful as the people you spend the most amount of time with: birds of a feather flock together, so you have to be cognizant of those you are flocking with! Do your friends bring out the best in you? Does your family encourage you to expand your life? Are your coworkers themselves in pursuit of happiness, too?
If you don’t feel like you are showing up as the greatest expression of your Self, it’s time for you to master your communication skills and climb higher in your own personal empowerment! Expand your Emotional Edges!
Once you begin to expand into your happiness, you’ll notice that you have more energy and you feel so much ‘lighter’ – literally. You start to show up differently in the world. Your purpose will reveal itself, almost naturally. You won’t have to pursue it the way you think you do: you’ll work, but you will be your Real Self!
I compare this energy to a dining room ceiling light with a dimmer switch: those of us who have expanded into the wholeness of our being resonate similarly to the full spectrum of light beaming throughout the room when the dimmer is set on high—we are bright and energized! We are full spectrum! We—literally—can lighten the mood wherever we go. We are tapped into Creative Energy. We feel good! People feel good being around us.
On the other hand, people who haven’t identified the flaws in their communication habits or acknowledged the origins of their weaknesses and fears, or those who haven’t embraced the gifts of their imperfections and learned from them—thus transcending their past—feel heavier or more oppressive to be around. They’re still resonating in Passive, Passive-Aggressive or Aggressive Communication strategies. They feel darker. The dimmer switch is dialed back to low.
The interesting part is that science claims that we do actually emit light. It isn’t just New Age mumbo jumbo:
Dr. Fritz-Albert Popp, a German physicist and founder of the International Institute of Biophysics in Neuss, Germany, is credited with the discovery of biophoton emissions or tiny currents of light, or energy, emanating from all living things. (i)
People can literally feel our Light when we walk into a room. It has nothing to do with the size or our hips, our bank account balance, or our achievements. It’s the intensity of our energy.
Have you ever noticed how bright and lively some people’s eyes are? And how the “soulless” seem to have eyes that are empty and lifeless?
Albert Einstein taught that energy and mass are perfectly interchangeable, and that very small amounts of mass may be converted into a very large amount of energy and vice versa. He explained it with E = mc²:
It followed from the special theory of relativity that mass and energy are both but different manifestations of the same thing—a somewhat unfamiliar conception for the average mind. Furthermore, the equation E = mc², in which energy is put equal to mass, multiplied by the square of the velocity of light, showed that very small amounts of mass may be converted into a very large amount of energy and vice versa. (ii)
This helps us understand that although we appear to be human beings, we are, in fact, beings of pure energy or light; some of us, as a result of our ‘healthy’ Emotional Age, are shining brighter than others. The more empowered we are, the brighter our light and the more able we are to see and make good choices. We have a greater perspective! We shine!
The important thing to remember when we are expanding our consciousness, or increasing the intensity of our light, is that we can’t climb the Empowerment Spectrum without moving up one level at a time, the same way we can’t turn a dimmer switch up without passing through every vibrational frequency. In other words, you can’t jump from Passive to Peaceful Communication without experiencing all the levels in between. Yes—you have to face and feel your anger; you must own all of yourself to shine in high-definition!
Take a peek at the Empowerment Spectrum I created. It is in my book, The Emotional Edge.
Once we are more empowered emotionally, we will feel ourselves shifting to this new, lighter, more powerful way of engaging with the world, a way that is filled with love and passion and understanding. This is the Flow!
Creative Energy is the most powerful force in the Universe.
This takes mindfulness. We must ask ourselves throughout the day: “Am I feeling expansive or contracted? Breathing deeply or shallow? Open-minded or close-minded? Fearless or gripping? What would I need to let go of in order to feel lighter?”
When you decide that becoming more empowered is your quest, your light will lift and you will attract more money!
