"Freedom from Food Addiction" Webinar July 18th!
Join us Tuesday, July 18th at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT for our first ever “Freedom from Food Addiction” webinar with Crystal Andrus Morissette and Sandra Elia. Both of these powerful women have struggled with their weight and during this free one-hour conversation, they are going to share their personal stories and advice for recovering from Food Addiction.
Do you:
- struggle with your weight?
- feel powerless to ‘fix’ yourself?
- wish you had a faster metabolism?
- feel like you can’t stop eating certain foods once you start?
- get overwhelmed trying new diets?
- pop pills, powders or potions desperate for a quick-fix?
- blame yourself for not having more willpower?
- resent those who don’t have weight issues?
- hate cooking (particularly healthy recipes)?
- feel uncomfortable in your own body?
- spend money and time searching for solutions?
If you said yes to most of these questions, you are not alone! Food is one of our most basic needs . . .
But for some people, certain foods trigger overwhelming ‘feel-good brain chemicals’ that overtake their brain’s reward pathway. And they can’t stop eating. Literally.
In the same way that a smoker craves a cigarette or an alcoholic can’t stop after one drink, there are some folks who simply can’t stop eating after they take that first bite. Their brain is hijacked. Chemicals are racing and the addictive cycle has begun.
We call this a food addiction.
Food addiction is a cluster of chemical dependencies on specific foods or food in general; after the ingestion of high palatable foods such as sugar, excess fat and salt the brains of some people develop a physical craving for these foods.
And we are here to help those who suffer!
Crystal Andrus Morissette, founder of the S.W.A.T. Institute is excited to partner with Sandra Elia, one of the world’s first Certified Food Addiction Counselors and the Vice Chair for the Toronto Chapter of the Canadian Obesity Network!
