Create a Facebook Group of Raving Fans to Attract Your Soul-Mate Clients
By Tani Morgan
I bet you belong to at least one Facebook group, right?
Most of us do, so if you haven’t already, you’ll want to consider creating your own group as a strategy to build an audience for your business.
Facebook groups are a wonderful tool to create new connections, build an audience and come together in community with people all over the world with similar interests to us.
They:
- give you the opportunity to showcase your knowledge, experience and expertise. This is a great way to position yourself as an expert and a leader.
- are a place to interact with like minded people to brainstorm, get support, give feedback, celebrate successes and make friends.
- are a free option to share your content and offers with your target audience.
- allow you to find, connect with and build trust with your audience so you can turn them into raving fans. You always want to create a community of raving fans because they are the ones spreading the word about you and helping your business grow a lot faster.
- help you grow your traffic, build your email list and increase your sales.
As an entrepreneur, you can be missing out on a lot of benefits, if you don’t have your own Facebook group so now that you know why they are so important, you’ll want to get on creating yours.
This is how to do that:
- Determine who are you going to serve – who do you want in your group? Hint: This will likely be your soul-mate client.
- Determine the purpose of your group. What do your soul-mate clients need right now? Why will they want to join? What will the members get out of it? For example, my group offers insights, inspiration, training and support for new or aspiring female entrepreneurs with a soul-aligned business. Choose a name for your group, that your clients will connect with immediately – something that they think of themselves or something that they want to be. Mine is called High Vibe and Empowered Entrepreneurs because my ideal clients are already or want to be high vibe and empowered.
- Build your group on Facebook and add a banner image, a description and any rules/ guidelines that you want your members to follow. Choose a name for your group, that your clients will connect with immediately – something that they would label themselves with or something that they want to be. Mine is called High Vibe and Empowered Entrepreneurs because my ideal clients are already or want to be high vibe and empowered.
- Create a challenge, an experience or a valuable free gift that will attract your soul-mate clients to your group and get them on your email list too.
- Use paid advertising or promotional posts on your social media and in other FB groups (if allowed) to get your message out.
- Welcome your new members to the group and get to know them with a welcome video or post so that they feel comfortable immediately.
- Nurture your community by showing up consistently (at least 2-3 times a week if not more).
- Focus on creating posts that create engagement in the group so you get to know your members and they get to know, like and trust you. Ask questions, respond to comments and make thought provoking posts.
- Provide value by showing up consistently with training, entertainment or inspiration. Teach your members that it’s worthwhile to show up to hang out with you.
- Offer them the next step by sharing your offers from time to time. Once they love and trust you, they’ll want to know how to get even more of you and your magic.
- Invite people personally. If you are answering a question in another group, let them know that you have a group where you discuss this and that you’ll love for them to join.
And most importantly…. - Love and appreciate your members. People want to be where they feel loved. And they invite others to join them in space that they feel safe, heard and seen. So truly get to know your members and create friendships.
When you follow these 12 steps, you’ll be amazed at how fast your group and business will grow. You’ll not only create a beautiful community where you can connect with like-minded people, you’ll also get leads, opportunities and clients.
