Your Weekly Horoscope by The Astro Twins
Your Weekly Overview February 29th – March 6th:
Happy Leap Week! And how very appropriate that is, as planets pulse through Sagittarius, the sign that’s all about taking bold leaps into the unknown. The broadening of horizons begins this Monday, February 29 with a quarter moon in expansive Sagittarius. Use this lunation’s balancing beams for a little growth review. It’s wonderful to explore and try new things—but are these adventures taking us in the right direction? Instead of randomly dabbling and sampling, we might try a more focused flow, investing time in activities that bring a positive ROI. That said, if you’ve been hanging in the comfort zone, this optimistic quarter moon will blow some wind in your sails. And no need to be drastic. Quarter moons are more measured. Like an elastic waistband, this one will help us stretch but if we push it TOO far, we could snap.
On Saturday, go-getter Mars follows on the heels of la luna, exiting Scorpio’s intense cauldron and zipping into passionate, adventurous, worldly Sagittarius until May 27. After two months of subterfuge, secret agendas and scintillating seduction, we are all ready to have everything be out in the open again. Mars in Sagittarius serves up more shots than a frat house fete—but of truth serum, not bargain-bin tequila. Honesty is indeed the best policy as long as tact and compassion don’t leave the building. Warrior Mars in Sagittarius could either stir the pot or bring some much-needed resolution to the international and multicultural crises flaring up around the globe. A continued focus on peace—in both the macro and micro corners of our personal worlds, too—adds a higher vision of love to the collective conscience.
Break out the passports and fire up the webcams (but please, leave the selfie sticks at home!) because Sagittarius is the globetrotting world traveler. This is a thrilling time for many to explore new vistas of our awesome planet or work together with people in distant lands on projects and business ventures. Enterprising Mars in Sagittarius will be a golden phase for independent business owners, writers, teachers and publishers. But get rolling on any missions before Mars turns retrograde from April 17 to June 29, which could stall progress or bring some tricky opposition. Don’t be deterred! What doesn’t fully take off before late May will have a second chance from August 3 to September 27 when Mars makes a rare second appearance in Sagittarius.
Messenger Mercury is on the move this Saturday too, drifting into dreamy Pisces until March 21. This short but sweet phase certainly lends itself to spring fever, putting us all in a romantic headspace. The birds chirp louder, the stars twinkle with more intensity—so much so that we’ll even write poems about it. Or song lyrics, or maybe choreograph an interpretive dance. The muse is in the house! Compassion will not be in short order with Mercury stroking through Pisces’ charitable waters, but guard that grill! Under these “see no evil” stars we might lower our defenses a little too much…or too soon…and get taken for a ride by a charming Svengali or fast-talking charlatan. Be careful not to overindulge or use substances to escape the stresses of life. Therapeutic healing can go deep if we plunge into our psyches and follow the advice of The Gifts of Imperfection, Brene Brown’s bible on releasing shame.
