Featured Simply Woman Superstar - Pam Del Franco
By Crystal Andrus Morissette, founder of Simply Woman Magazine + The S.W.A.T. Institute
Our featured Simply Woman Superstar this week is Pam Del Franco!
Known as the ‘wise Nanna’ because of her soft and kind heart, intuitive insights, and the years of experience she’s spent helping young women, Pam Del Franco is truly a special soul.
I got to know Pam when she studied to become a Certified Master Empowerment Coach at my school, The S.W.A.T. Institute (she’s now a graduate – woohoo!). And on March 8th, 2018, when we released our book, Simply Woman: Stories from 30 magnificent women who have risen against the odds, she was one of our few chosen authors. A brilliant writer and natural storyteller, Pam also regularly writes in our Simply Woman Magazine.
Having helped many people get through some “pretty tough times,” Pam has been through her fair share herself.
Her first heartbreak was at four years old when her mother left her and her six other siblings and moved overseas. She describes that as setting her on a trajectory that took over 40 years to come to terms with.
Being abandoned left Pam with trust and confidence issues, resulting in a series of abusive relationships. She remembers living with a terrible, sociopathic man as his nanny, enduring far too much before standing up to him.
“When I stood up to the sociopath, it was intuitive in a sense. Or perhaps it was because the line in the sand that was so distant, was finally being drawn. If there were a magic wand [to go back in time], I would tell myself so many things around self-respect, self-worth, and so much more,” Pam shares.
At about 35, Pam realized that she had been coasting through life, pushing her pain down. And so, she began opening up to the possibilities of healing, knowing there had to be a better way.
And after studying personal development in many ways for many years (psychological, spiritual, life experience in the school of hard knocks, and more), Pam realized she still had residual inner work to do. After signing up to become an Empowerment Coach, she now says that her biggest takeaway was that although she was training to coach other women, the personal healing during her training was something she wasn’t expecting. After an ‘eye-opening’ experience, she now uses the tools she’s learned in her studies to help others heal in a profound way.
Today Pam is a wonderful grandmother, something she describes as shifting ‘everything’ for her, giving her the ability to see the 30,000-foot view and offering herself more compassion for her own past mistakes. Pam is also a Social Service Worker, psychic medium, author, and Certified Empowerment Coach.
Be sure to watch our conversation on October 22nd at 4 pm ET/1 pm PT on Facebook Live, as we chat about empowerment, relationships, healing, and much more. Click here!
