Is it important for you to be happy in your business?

Let’s think about it for a second, you’re pouring your heart and soul into something that was placed in your life {for a reason!}, so why not get some happiness and fulfilment through doing what you love?!  Right?

To be truthful when I was a young business owner all I wanted was the money that my business could give me.  I didn’t care so much about the happiness.  *DOH*  “I’ll be happy on my free time!!” I used to say, “I can sleep on the beach!” and so my months and days would drag on and I was feeling trapped in a business that wasn’t going anywhere very fast.  Have you ever been in this place?  It kinda sucks….

Do you ever feel this, you drag your booty out of bed in the morning, wishing you were doing something else, anything else with your time besides the business you claim is your “purpose”….”so sign up with me…okay?!” and you’re cranky and reaching for the next pot of coffee halfway through your day?

I’m going to share with you the realization I had that radically shifted my world and my business just a few years ago….

Let’s be real here, it’s not the business that is here to make you HAPPY.  You must be HAPPY WITHIN first.

Shocking, right?

When you actually think about this and of course I can only speak for myself, when I wasn’t happy with my business, or who I was as an entrepreneur, I wasn’t happy within.  I struggled with knowing what made me happy.

The real question for you is, are you happy with your direction?  Are you on purpose and an entrepreneur that shares from your heart?

Here are 4 rules happy entrepreneurs live by:

1.  Take your business from your head to their heart.

As soon as you take your message from your head to your heart, you will speak more truth, love what you do and feel PURPOSE.  If at this moment you’re a business owner that is always speaking from your head, calculating numbers, not focused on serving, creating a business that is focused on serving yourself, you’re in your head.

If you’re ruled by FEAR, you’re in your head.

Get out of your head and get into your heart.  When you’re working from a place of LOVE your business and income {cha-ching!} will start to flow in and your flood gates will open.

This also is a sign to build a business that is aligned with your purpose.

2.  Workout.

I just recently read an article that shared Richard Branson’s #1 tip for SUCCESS in business and that was WORKING OUT!

Speaking from experience, when I’m cranking weights at the gym, my  blood is flowing I feel this connection and warmth shoot through my body and I feel as if I am perfectly tuned in with the divine, receiving crazy wicked ideas to share with you, my tribe!   This is what I need to build a strong coaching brand.  Working out also gives you that “feel good” body image you need to feel confidence in your game.

Don’t forget, when you set a goal for your health, this gets you taking action which also proves to yourself that you can achieve goals and builds up belief!

Working out also releases some crazy endorphins that your body and happiness needs to run a full time biz!

3.  Always be learning / growing {Ask for guidance}

It’s true as the great spiritual leaders say, “if you’re not growing, you’re dying.”

I believe the happiest entrepreneurs are always in a state of growth, surrounding themselves with people they can learn from, going to events to raise their leadership lids, asking for tips from other business owners and investing the time to get to know the message that is pounding in their hearts.

You can only give what you know.  If you’re confused on your next steps or the direction to take, do not be afraid to ask for guidance from a mentor or the divine.  You’re in control of your life and the secret you must know is…..you ALWAYS have the right answers within you.

Let’s take it one step further, ok?  Go learn more and then apply what you’ve just learned and create a new “tool” in your business tool box.

Change and Growth are beautiful in business.  🙂

4.  Speak your mess and make it your message!

This could be the key component to being a happy entrepreneur, if you’re on path and rocking your message, your heart will be full and you’ll be well equipped to help more people when you speak with an authentic voice.

Are you struggling to know what YOUR MESSAGE really is?

Here’s one tip I give everyone – look at where you’ve struggled in your life, what did you do to overcome it?  How did you turn your life around?  As I’ve learned early on, ‘your mess is your message’ so this is not the time to push aside your struggles and be embarrassed of where you’ve come from, this is your time to showcase what you’ve broken through and achieved!  This creates a real “selling story” from your heart.

I hope these 4 rules to being happy in your business serves you!
